SE Live Demonstration Workshops

On each demonstration day, Dr. Abi Blakeslee will offer live sessions with participants. Then we will deconstruct the videos by rewatching them and mapping out SE tracking and skills.

These workshops will be valuable to increase your framework of the elements that go into a session and allow you to observe multiple-choice points that emerge during SE sessions. Demonstration Days are reportedly some of our student's and SEP’s favorite ways to learn.

Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm US Mountain time.

Please note that times may vary depending on the date due to daylight savings time and coordinating multiple countries. Be aware of the different dates and times for these Live Demo days!

Cost: $185 USD
Duration: 6 hours (including a 1-hour lunch break)
Who this is for: SEPs and SE students of all levels
Credit: 2 credits toward group case consultation hours

NOTE: This is meant to be a live experience. All demos will be recorded and replayed live for demo day.

Demo days are live and will not be recorded and distributed. In other words, you must attend the demonstration day on Zoom in order to be a part of the experience. This is for confidentiality reasons. 

The schedule is subject to change with Abi's schedule. Should a schedule change be made after you have registered, you will be allowed to change to another date or provided with a refund.

Registration closes one week (7 days) before the Live Demo day. We are unable to accept registrations after this time.

What to Expect

I will record the demo, and then we will replay it by looking at:

  • The moment-to-moment "implicit body story."

  • Stopping to analyze what is occurring in a person's physiology through the lens of the ANS and the threat response cycle.

  • Discussing which SE interventions I used and my thought process behind them.

  • Exploring patterns of early trauma and attachment repair.


Many people may choose to observe the training. You are also welcome to submit a demo form to work with me. If you have a client or someone you know who you think would be interested in working with me during the demo workshop, you can invite them to submit a demo form. All people who volunteer for the demo should be comfortable with recording and deconstruction of the session online with the group. I will not keep the recording unless granted direct permission.

In the morning and afternoon, I plan to offer live SE demos and deconstruct them.

All five hours are just slightly more than the cost of a one-hour individual case consultation, making this an affordable option for increasing your skills.

Live Demonstration Request form

Please use the button below to access the request form if you wish to participate. This form applies to all 2024 dates. Please select all dates you will register for and can participate in.

The form needs to be completed no later than two weeks before the Live Demo. Abi will review the requests, and if your submission is chosen, we will be in touch with further information. Please note that you must have a stable internet connection to participate in the Live Demo. If your internet does not seem reliable enough, we may need to choose another participant.

Participant Requirements:

  • It is essential for the online demo that you have a steady Internet connection.

  • The demo space must be indoors, and in a quiet, private location with no other people around to ensure privacy.

  • Please have a set of functioning (and pre tested) ear buds/microphone available as backup, in case the sound begins to drop out or quality of sound is poor.

  • Once you confirm you will be able to do a demo, our tech support will reach out to you to schedule a brief tech check to make sure everything is operating smoothly.

After your purchase

You will receive the details for accessing the Live Demo day you are registered for via email at least five days before that specific consultation.

If you do not receive it first check your spam/junk folder. If it is not there, please email info@abiblakeslee.com or complete the contact form on the website. 

Should you not receive the log-in details, it is your responsibility to let us know via email no later than the day before the consultation.

Due to the detail-oriented nature of managing an online class with so many individual participants, we are not able to assist with issues at the last moment. Additionally, handling your setup ahead of time helps us all to be calm and grounded for the group session. We appreciate your respecting this boundary.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the complexity of organizing multiple participants, you will not be able to cancel or transfer to another session once you have paid.

However, you are welcome to transfer your place to another colleague in the training that you know. This will be your responsibility to coordinate and they can reimburse you.

If you arrange a transfer, please email the group coordinator at info [at] abiblakeslee [dot] com with the date of the consultation affected and the name and email address of the individual who will be attending. The coordinator will then send the consultation details to the new attendee.

Signing session logs

Each Live Demo day counts as 2 credit hours of case consultation (including the lunch break) with an Institute faculty member towards your SEP certificate requirements. You will receive a follow-up email confirming your attendance up to two weeks after the Live Demo day.

This email can be submitted to SEI with your other log sheet requirements for completion of the Somatic Experiencing Practitioner criteria.
